This issue of Spray Foam Insulation & Roofing
Magazine TM continues to present many of the
remarkable benefits and characteristics of spray
polyurethane foam.
While our last issue focused mainly on the
structural applications of closed-cell spray foam
formulations, this issue explores some of the
benefits and particular advantages that open-cell
spray foam delivers. Beyond the open-cell spray
foam stories and information, we continue to
deliver educational and informational content on
all aspects of spray polyurethane foam.
Builders and SPF contractors are sure to find
valuable information in our article on ”Calculating
Yield in Spray Foam Applications.” In addition, see
how a New Jersey builder found spray foam and

Did this month’s cover photo grab your attention?
We used it for a number of reasons. It’s open-cell foam used for a typical ”marketing style”
SPF photo. It is actually a staged photo, just for
this purpose. While the photo exemplifies the
”expanding foam” benefits of SPF insulation, it
is not to be used as a real example on how to
apply spray foam. Applying foam in this nature is
extremely wasteful and can be very dangerous.
