INSULATION & ROOFING MAGAZINE
spray foam is used in many more places than residential walls and commercial roofing.
industrial markets have enormous demand for insulation and protective coatings.
industrial spray foam projects
Time and again, residential applications get the
majority of attention in the spray polyurethane
foam industry. Case in point: the universal visual
motif of fully cured foam applied between wall
studs. Here at Spray Foam Insulation & Roofing
Magazine, we strive to cover every facet of the
industry, and for this issue, we feature several
industrial and commercial applications involving
both spray polyurethane foam and spray polyurea.
We begin with a spray foam roofing project
in the heart of The Bronx, at the largest food
distribution facility in the world. We then flip the
roofing theme on its head with an interior roofing
insulation project at the main production facility
of Amy’s Kitchen. We continue with a tremendous
SPF roofing project that involves an entire New
Jersey school system.
On the more strictly industrial end of the scale,
we find ourselves in the Louisiana Bayou, finding
out how polyurea repaired a failed secondary
containment structure. We then cross the Gulf
of Mexico and the Caribbean, to Curaçao, where
polyurea again rescues a poorly waterproofed
storage tank system.
Finally, we return stateside to show how spray
foam insulation can remedy previously inundated
buildings at both the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and
the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Thanks for reading, and keep spraying!
