SPRAYtight used Gaco Western’s 3
lb. RoofFoam 273 closed-cell spray
foam, which was applied by a Gaco
qualified applicator. Broadly speaking,
the applicators applied the foam in
two one-inch passes, although the
application was broken up into two
distinct phases. First, the applicators
sprayed foam in areas requiring detail
work: along the newly bridged seams;
along the small parapet wall; around
drains and pipe protrusions; and up
the curbs of mechanical units. Then,
foam was applied to the larger field
areas that made up a majority of the
roof surface. Additional foam was
applied in certain low-lying areas to
allow for proper drainage.
